Ever wondered what to do with all this extra sourdough starter? During this workshop, we will briefly review how to keep and maintain an active wild-yeast sourdough starter, and then talk through all the ways we can use sourdough discard. Come join us as we enjoy some freshly baked Sourdough Discard Treats (brownies! muffins!), and we will bake some sourdough items together, as well. Participants will receive a packet of resources and recipes and take home some active sourdough starter, to begin their baking journey at home!

  • In Person attendees will receive a packet of resources and recipes and take home some active sourdough starter, to begin their baking journey at home! A dehydrated starter and packet of resources will be mailed to online participants after the class 

Instructor Bio:

Sarah Woiteshek Pietzuch is the head baker & maker at McKibbon Hollow. For the last 5 years, she has run her sourdough cottage bakery from her home and is best known for her bakery stand; The Bread Basket.  In recent years, her passion for teaching others has led to a new path of sharing the simplicity of sourdough to hundreds of people in Middle Tennessee.
