Join us for a special four-week quilting series as you create a beautiful Christmas Tree lap quilt from start to finish. Perfect for confident beginners and experienced makers alike, this hands-on class will guide you step by step through cutting, piecing, and assembling this festive quilt — a cozy, display-worthy piece that’s perfect for curling up with during the holidays or gifting to someone special.

Under the guidance of master quilter Carmel Mitchell, you’ll learn essential quilting techniques including fabric placement, precision piecing, block construction, and quilt assembly. Each week builds on the last, allowing you to steadily grow your skills while watching your project come to life.

Instructor Bio:

Hi, I’m Carmel Mitchell! Sewing has been my passion since I was 8 years old, when my grandmother first taught me how to stitch. What started as a hobby quickly grew into a lifelong dedication to mastering the art of sewing and quilting.

For the past 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching sewing to students of all skill levels. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing my students gain confidence and express their creativity through their projects. Some of my proudest moments have been watching several of my students win ribbons for their sewing projects at the state fair - it’s a testament to their hard work and the beauty of this timeless craft.

As a master quilter, I love sharing my knowledge and helping others discover the joy of creating something meaningful with their own hands. Whether you’re brand new to sewing or looking to refine your skills, I’m here to guide and inspire you every step of the way.
